In Tsukuba City,
near the Great Buddha of Ushiku
and the legendary Kappa,
an area famous for its delicious
dried sweet potatoes,stands
KINKOSANCHI.
The name means “Kinko’s home,”
after my grandmother.
It is a place where you can return and say,
“I’m home,”
and feel the gentle memories of rest
and time passing slowly―
like spending a long,
endless summer vacation
at your grandmother’s house.

The Page Library
There comes a time in everyone’s life
when they begin to ask themselves,
“Should I keep the family album, or let it go?”
Even when you know how precious it is,
a family album is not something
you can open every day,
or keep safely forever on your own.
The Page Library is a home
that cares for these albums in your place.
It opens quietly for those who
need to turn the pages again,
for their own reasons,
on the 17th of each month, by reservation.
A place that might be called
a library of memories.
